The ELAC Debut 2.0 B6.2 Bookshelf Speakers
Improving on the B6—a speaker with accolades from the global press and awards from industry professionals—was not an easy task. But constant improvement is what we do at ELAC, and the Debut B6.2 raises the bar for bookshelf performance higher than ever before. What competition it has starts at many times its price.

New Tweeter with Wide-Dispersion Waveguide
A NEW soft-dome tweeter features a wide-roll surround and takes response up to 35,000 Hz for even more lifelike high frequencies. The waveguide improves directivity control and eliminates the diffraction modes inherent in traditional box enclosures.

New Woven Aramid-Fiber Woofer
The REVISED shape of the aramid cone offers even greater stiffness and damping, far superior to polypropylene or paper. The added strength allows more flexibility in design to achieve a smoother, extended low-frequency response.

New Cabinets with Easier Placement
THICK MDF cabinets with a luxurious black ash vinyl finish are larger, and internally braced for greater stiffness and strength, greatly reducing cabinet vibrations which cause unwanted coloration. On the Bookshelf and Center Channel, moving the bass port to the front of the cabinet means placement against walls or in bookshelves won’t compromise performance.

Optimized Center Speakers
Recognizing that in a multi-channel system the majority of sound comes through the center speaker, we have optimized sensitivity and impedance to minimize the power requirement from the AV receiver, maximizing dynamic impact from lower cost receivers.

In my opinion , you would have to pay 2 or 3 times as much for a better speaker. I was very impressed!
Joel –
The bookshelf speakers and center sound great! Teamed it up with a denon audio receiver and they are a huge improvement over what I had before. Would highly recommend this series speakers for building a home theater.

I have had this DB6.2 fr over a week. It replaced the JBL A130’s, which were to Neutral. B/4 that I had Klipsch R-51M, which were to trebley. These DB6.2’s are just perfect for my ears in playing music or for DD movies. These speakers are very clear and do have punch. I also have the C5.2 center channel, producing movie dialog that is clean and very understandable. I use a Denon AVR S-960H. Thank you ELAC!

I recently purchase the DB6.2 and C5.2, for movies and some internet music. I had Klipsch and JBL bookshelf, and the ELAC 2.0 have nice balance, tone, and clarity to MY ears. I found what I was looking for in DD, 5.1 sound for movies and dialog.

Great musicality, just a small notch from my old floorstanding speakers the likes of Canton, Monitor Audio,Paradigm, Triangle & Bose 802III. And the price is way cheap.

I have had the DB62’s for a little over a month. Previous bookshelf has been Klipsch R-51 and JBL A130’s. I finally found mains that are music to my ears at a fair price. Long story short. A week later, I ordered center channel C5.2. The psb center channel, Imagine XC, is collecting dust. I have a HT system with a Denon AVR S-960H and movies are much more of a treat, over previous.

I have had these speakers for a year now. These replaced some Infinity bookshelf speakers. A massive improvement in sound quality, tonality, and depth. Great highs(Infinity’s have none), mids are perfect, lows are very good. A sub works wonders for deep lows in classic rock. I did extensive research for about 2 months before deciding on these. Do not need huge floor standing speakers, I would not get to use them fully anyway. I highly recommend. For the cost, these cannot be beat!

My bookshelf Elac 2.0 B6.5 and their center C5.5, tied into a Denon AVR S-960H, in turn with a 5.1 HT, these Elac speakers perfect to my ears. I have had these ELAC speakers for 3 months. Most current in time, I had used Klipsch’s R-51M and R-52C and JBL Stage A130 + PSB Imagine Center. The Elac 2.0 B6.2 out performs the Klipsch and JBL as mentioned. I watch mostly DD movies and the ELAC’s have come through to my ears! I highly recommend these bookshelf ELACS.

I cannot believe the sound these speakers produce. They fill my 5000 cubic feet great room nicely, and I have unhooked my subwoofer….don’t tneed it. Great detail on all frequencies. Impressive electric and acoustic bass listening to modern jazz.

I’ve had mine for a few days now and I’m still evaluating how I feel about them. They replace a pair of B&W 601 mk3’s which were around the same size but more box like than the Elac’s which are more rectangular. The 601’s were over twenty years old but had good solid base for their size. Parts for them are no longer made so I was forced to toss them. As to the new Elac 2.0 6.2’s I would say they’re a bit more refined on the top end and perhaps slightly less prominent in the base region. Overall, I’d say the Elacs could be listened to for a longer period without listener fatigue. Since they’re front ported like the 601’s I was able to place them in the same place near the wall without any problem. I think I’m going to be satisfied with them judging them so far because they sound very linear to me.

They sound beautiful and very 3D even with something as small as a Kinter K2020A+!

Bought these to replace a pair of floor standing Spendor A4 speakers which cost about 10 times as much. Unfortunately our new kitten wanted to use the Spendors as a scratching post. So to the basement they went. Purchased the Elacs based on reviews and that I could put them on metal stands. Cat still loves the stands and I love the Elacs. Are they as good as the Spendors? No, but not that far off. Frankly I was worried I’d be greatly let down but have to say these were a great purchase and to be honest, I don’t really miss the Spendors. That should tell you something about how good these are!

Fantastic controlled bass, great mids and highs, finally a speaker that deserves it’s 5 star reviews.. The only downside is the cabinets are really poor quality in my opinion , expect vinyl to part and or lift on the corners at some point, rough edges where the vinyl joined

An excellent value. I actually wasn’t in love with them initially, but after a few, simple equalizer adjustments (on my Yamaha RX V6A), I was completely blown away (primarily used for UHD/HD music streaming). By far, the absolute best speakers I’ve ever heard in this class.
