Transcendent sound, in-ceiling and in-wall.
With the Debut Architectural Series, ELAC takes our acclaimed Debut Series loudspeaker technology and transforms it into a custom-installation dream. In-wall and in-ceiling designs from ELAC chief engineer Andrew Jones and his team employ all the design secrets that make Debut such an overwhelming success with uncompromising audiophiles. Custom-made Debut drivers, components and flush-mount enclosures not only surpass other architectural speakers with their sonic excellence, but with build quality and reliability that deliver on the ELAC reputation for matching stellar performance with incredible value.
Both the tweeter and bass driver have been custom designed by Andrew Jones to deliver an exceptional audio experience that simply can’t be achieved with off-the-shelf parts.
Woofer with aramid-fiber cone
Woven aramid fiber offers a superior stiffness-to-weight ratio and damping over polypropylene or paper cones. This added strength and light weight allows advanced design solutions that achieve a smoother, more extended frequency response and tighter bass than conventional designs.
Deep-spheroid custom waveguide
Both in-wall models feature a custom-designed tweeter waveguide with a speheroid profile, utilized to improve directivity control and shield the tweeter wavefront from cabinet diffraction.
A Debut-worthy crossover
Custom six-element crossovers with audio-grade components not only ensure smooth transition between drivers, but separate the Debut Architectural Series from ordinary custom-install speakers.
Their slim-profile magnetic grills allow Debut in-wall and in-ceiling speakers to virtually disappear into the room. With standard white finish, they are also paintable, for seamless visual integration onto any surface.
Robust molded cabinets
Custom enclosures mount in the shallowest of in-wall and in-ceiling spaces, with optimum volumetric dimensions and maximum structural integrity that reduce cabinet resonances and enhance driver performance.
Angled with purpose
The model IC-DT61-W incorporates an aramid-fiber woofer and cloth-dome tweeter both angled at 30 degrees to provide a special in-ceiling solution for home theater applications, bringing a whole new level of realism to movies and surround sound.
