Thanks.. I had to do a factory reset to the MOTO X to get the app to show up…after installation the app is reporting that there are no available devices. Blutooth is on, the amp is on… I guess if it isn’t one thing it’s another

Just to tie a bow around this, the firmware (not the driver) update fixed my issue. It’s a four minute operation, probably worth trying if you have USB connection issues.

This solved my problem of the PC not finding the Element through the USB connection after being turned off and back on. Everything seem to be working perfectly now.

The even better news is that we can expect this (pretty simple) procedure to add new features down the road when they are released by Elac.

    Thanks, Chris.

The Element does a fine job for me in 12 x 14 room, with a powered subwoofer. The 105 watt receiver I had been using did a good job with the UB5’s as well.

Okay, I was a little premature… the problem now is that turning the unit off causes it not to recognized by the PC when it is turned on again. You have to unplug the USB cable and replug it for the PC to recognize it. Not the biggest problem in the world, but a minor annoyance I guess. Maybe a firmware update could fix this little issue.

All is well…for some reason switching the USB cable did the trick. The original cable worked for a cheap DAC I was using but the Elac was never recognized by the PC with it.

Many thanks to Chris for his help over the phone…

I have installed the driver update, but the Elac amp is not appearing in Device Manager or anywhere else. It is as if the USB port is dormant. If anyone comes up with a solution, it would be great to hear about it…would hate to have to return this little thing to Amazon.

I am having the same problem. I was using a simple USB DAC before but the Elac Element does not show up in Control Panel – Sound. I would hate to have to return this to Amazon but that is what they are suggesting at the moment…
