    Hi,

    I am very sorry to hear that you are having problems with your Discovery Music Server. I can assure you that this is not the norm. We have the Discovery up and running in 100’s of retail stores without any issue. I would really like to find out exactly what problems you are having and see how we can get things resolved.

    Hi Diki,

    Our plan is to support bug fixes for the Discovery Music Server for a period of 5 years after production ends. As far as product improvements, we cannot guaranty anything beyond what features the product ships with. Of course our plan is to support new Roon features, however there are limits such as hardware capability. We will launching Ver. 1.3 in the next few weeks which will add some new features and improve the speed of the Discovery, however plans beyond this have not been determined.

    Unfortunately no it is not.

    You output to an airplay device like and Apple TV and most other AirPlay devices..

    Hi Everyone,

    Just wanted to apologize for not being more active on the forums and getting to everyone’s questions. We have been a little overwhelmed.

    If there is a firmware update available for the Discovery you will see a pop-up on the bottom portion of the screen of Roon Essentials. If you want to manually check for a firmware update, click on the menu icon on the top left (3 Horizontal lines), click on settings, and then click on about on the top right.

    Hi Peter,

    We discovered a bug when a signal from the TV changes from Dolby Digital to PCM many times very quickly. We are currently testing new firmware that should address this and it should be available later today. I will post a link once updated.

    Hi Thomas,

    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The Discovery does not enter a traditional sleep mode, however when not in use (Playing and scanning new content) draws very little power (Less than 4 watts).

    Hi Randy,

    I will reach out to Wadia and see about getting a unit for testing. We have tried many different brands (Pioneer, Audio Alchemy, Berkeley, Peachtree, etc.)of DACS with Discovery without any issue. What model is model number of the Wadia unit you are using?

    Hi JB,

    Connecting your phone to the Element Amplifier over Bluetooth Low Energy is a different process than most normal bluetooth devices.

    Hi Randy,

    I have reached out to Wadia and waiting for someone to get back to me. I had Peter Madnick measure the digital outputs using his Audio Precision Gear and there does not appear to be anything out of the ordinary.

    Have you had other devices connected to the Wadia that supported High Res audio?

    I currently do not have a mac in our office, however I just purchased one and it is supposed to be here tomorrow.

    I will create a process for adding folders from a MAC very soon after I receive it.
