Have a new pair just turned on and sound veiled in upper frequencies. Will they open up over time as they are used?

    Hello Starbux62,

I answered your question via email. But for others:

A lot of time positioning will have and effect on the veiled sound. I find that if the speakers are too close to the wall the speaker will sound boomy and the sound stage maybe become veiled. We recommend a 12 to 18 inches.

Also we do recommend toeing in the speakers for better imaging. Andrew recommends toeing them in so that they would intersect a foot in front of the prime seats face.

As far as a break-in period, they should sound great out of the box and “warm up” with break-in. Andrew runs speakers 24/7 over a weekend to break-in and get a reasonably accurate idea of what they will sound like.

Let us know if you have anyone questions,
