Basically, I went through all the trouble of cleaning up the metadata tags on every album in my collection. However, Roon Essentials ignores those metadata tags and organizes my collection according to some other system. For example, I find reggae albums in the Rock genre, and jazz albums sitting in the Classical genre, etc. Also, several albums don’t even show up in genre sections – I have to search for them specifically by album title to find them – and I know they already have proper genre tags. pretty weird. Since I re-tagged all albums personally, I know there aren’t any mistakes with the files themselves – this is a Roon/Roon Essentials sorting issue. Any tips on how to bypass Roon’s sorting so that the program uses existing metadata tags? Again, apologies if this isn’t the place to ask, but I can’t find any other way to get support for Roon Essentials – even selecting ‘Support’ in the app causes it to crash!
