The power led in the Discovery is far too bright.
Is there a way to dim it or switch it off?

You can’t switch it off or dim it right now but we are working on it and we are hoping it will be soon possible.

We are testing a solution to turn off the LED via the Discovery built-in web server this week and expect to release firmware update next week. The fix will require you to type your IP address in a browser, there you will find a menu to turn the LED off.

Any news about the release date of the firmware to turn off (or dim) the led of the Discovery?

A few weeks ago Elac promised us a firmware update in order to dim/switch off the power led.
    Nothing happened until now however.
So, once more, please find a way to switch off the over-bright power led, whch is hurting my eyes.
As the Discovery is nothing more than a mini computer, a simple script or config change can do the trick.

Just type in your browser the IP-address of your Discovery into an internet browser, and the you see on/off switch led.

How do I find the IP address of my Discovery? Is there by now a different solution to this problem?

    Hi,

thanks. My browser doesn’t have access to the network and I really dont know anything about this stuff. And actually, I don’t want to be an expert to configure a 1000€ consumer device. Also, I expect a thoroughly explained manual. This is pretty annoying.

    I found a solution!

One can go to Settings/Audio and then click on the litte “i” next to “Elac Discovery”. There you can turn it off. Finally the device can get out of the closet.

Thanks Bittnerowski, that did the trick, however I hope they give us a way to just dim it in future 👍🏻
