  1. David

I’m a little surprised that there are no reviews for this outstanding speaker. I have had the F6.2’s for almost a year and use them for both music and home theater. They are used along with the DC 62 center channel, the DOW 42 on-wall as surrounds and the DA 42 Atmos modules. They work great for both purposes. The sound is clear for sure. Both male and female voices sound extremely good when listening to music. I don’t know all the technical terms…they just sound very good and are the best buy for the money I’ve ever had.

  2. VIRAL BHAYANI

I added a dac and there was almost 30 per cent improvement in the sound. It becomes more warm. Andrew Jones designed one of the best most affordable speakers for ElAC

The Debut 2.0 Floorstanding Speaker | ELAC Debut 2.0 F6.2 Floorstanding Speaker – DF62

With its new custom drivers and improved cabinet design, the Debut F5.2 is the foundation of a serious two-channel system or the nucleus of an impressive multi-channel setup. Add an app-enabled ELAC subwoofer and you have a full-range system that delivers big-league sound, affordably.

New Tweeter with Wide-Dispersion Waveguide

A NEW soft-dome tweeter features a wide-roll surround and takes response up to 35,000 Hz for even more lifelike high frequencies. The waveguide improves directivity control and eliminates the diffraction modes inherent in traditional box enclosures.

New Woven Aramid-Fiber Woofer

The REVISED shape of the aramid cone offers even greater stiffness and damping, far superior to polypropylene or paper. The added strength allows more flexibility in design to achieve a smoother, extended low-frequency response.

New Cabinets with Easier Placement

THICK MDF cabinets with a luxurious black ash vinyl finish are larger, and internally braced for greater stiffness and strength, greatly reducing cabinet vibrations which cause unwanted coloration. On the Bookshelf and Center Channel, moving the bass port to the front of the cabinet means placement against walls or in bookshelves won’t compromise performance.

Optimized Center Speakers

Recognizing that in a multi-channel system the majority of sound comes through the center speaker, we have optimized sensitivity and impedance to minimize the power requirement from the AV receiver, maximizing dynamic impact from lower cost receivers.
