ELAC Debut 2.0 C5.2 Center Channel Speaker
Paint a panoramic sonic landscape.
To make a life-sized impression, a full-blown surround system needs a center channel just as formidable as the front-channel speakers. The new Debut 2.0 C5.2 paints a majestic soundstage that makes movies and music come alive. New dual front ports allow placement in cabinets or against the wall without compromising bass frequencies.

New Tweeter with Wide-Dispersion Waveguide
A NEW soft-dome tweeter features a wide-roll surround and takes response up to 35,000 Hz for even more lifelike high frequencies. The waveguide improves directivity control and eliminates the diffraction modes inherent in traditional box enclosures.

New Woven Aramid-Fiber Woofer
The REVISED shape of the aramid cone offers even greater stiffness and damping, far superior to polypropylene or paper. The added strength allows more flexibility in design to achieve a smoother, extended low-frequency response.

New Cabinets with Easier Placement
THICK MDF cabinets with a luxurious black ash vinyl finish are larger, and internally braced for greater stiffness and strength, greatly reducing cabinet vibrations which cause unwanted coloration. On the Bookshelf and Center Channel, moving the bass port to the front of the cabinet means placement against walls or in bookshelves won’t compromise performance.

Optimized Center Speakers
Recognizing that in a multi-channel system the majority of sound comes through the center speaker, we have optimized sensitivity and impedance to minimize the power requirement from the AV receiver, maximizing dynamic impact from lower cost receivers.

This DC52 replaces a couple other center channels from the past and is by far the best. Movie dialog is superb, being clear and understanding via my Denon AVR S-960H. I also have their DB6.2 as the front mains.

I had a psb Imagine XC center channel costing 2X’s the ELAC DC52. The Elac DC52 does OUT PERFORM the psb, which I thought not possible. I have had the ELAC for about 4 weeks, connected my Denon AVR S-960W or a 5.1 system. About all I can say is, “This ELAC DC52,” is FANTASTIC in every way possible! Thank you ELAC.
