I know it’s old hat by now to say that these Andrew Jones-designed speakers from ELAC are great affordable speakers, but it is truly remarkable the level of sound you get for the price of these ELAC UB5.2 bookshelf speakers. I have a pair of ProAc Response D2 monitor speakers, and no, the ELACs don’t quite match their level of high-end output, but they still make me wonder if I need the ProAcs anymore (which are about six times the cost of the ELACs). I’m particularly enjoying the concentric driver—the midrange and treble combine to make voices and brass instruments sound incredibly present. Overall, the speakers have a nicely balanced sound, with just the right amount of base to complement the rest of the spectrum. I say all this without having properly broken them in yet, so I’m guessing they’ll open up even more after a little bit more time. Very happy so far…

These speakers are awesome and I love them. I have them hooked up in my office and power them with an SMSL DA-9 amp and SU-9 dac. Hi res audio never sounded so good. Sometimes I’m inclined to stop everything I’m doing and just sit and listen. Well done ELAC!!

Very nice so far. Still in the break-in process, but I like what I’m hearing!

These speakers have met my high expectations based on all the hype. In my mixed use home theater/music set up, I am really enjoying the transparency, depth and resolution these speakers bring to the table.

Bought these strictly off of reviews and YouTube reviews I had seen online. Never heard them before in person. Very satisfied even using an older Yamaha amp to drive them. I would definitely recommend them.
