They hang on the wall and look like normal pictures; however, they are absolutely novel hi-fi loudspeakers. Responsible for the sound are two ELAC NXT exciters which fixed on the back of the panel. Compared to conventional loudspeakers, the panel speakers radiate sound at a wider angle and more homogeneously, thus enlarging the optimum listening area distinctly.
The new panel speakers 'Imago' are used as normal hi-fi loudspeakers. They are also suitable for home cinema applications, e.g. as rear speakers.

The 'singing pictures' are offered in 2 different sizes (50 × 40 cm and 70 × 50 cm).


Selection of Pictures:
The music and art lover may select among numerous prints with famous motifs from the world of art, in close cooperation with the Poster-Shop in Recklinghausen/Germany. The sophisticated prints are laminated onto the panels and worked into picture speakers.

To round the sound off, ELAC's new panels can be combined with any standards subwoofer. Optimum bass support is provided by ELAC's compact graceful subwoofer SUB 303 ESP.

Picture loudspeakers use a new technology called DML - Distributed Mode Loudspeaker. This technology produces sound by exciting large surfaces (panels) as membranes with special transducers - the so-called exciters.
